Fancy a Slice?!

Liz at Pink Petticoat is being extremely generous and giving away an MM Slice!!

All you have to do to try and win is make a card (or other make) using your PP stash!

I made some Christmas cards for my entry! I used some of the free PP papers from the "tis the season" collection, some Big Dots paper and also some cute Christmas lola's from the Lola Rose Occasions collection. Teamed with a tad of glitter, I'm quite pleased with the result - they're a little more funky than I would usually do for Christmas cards but wanted to something a little less traditional. (I also used the cuttlebug, some stamps and sentiments from the tiny tags collection.)

Hope you like & thanks for looking!! A big thanks to Liz for giving everyone an opportunity to win this!!

Bird, Birds and More Birds

This weeks Daring Card Makers challenge set by Rein is to make a card that contains Birds!

I haven't taken part in a dare for ages and really liked the look of this one to get me back in the swing of things!! :O)

I made an acetate card for my husband for our 2nd Wedding Anniversary and used a love birds stamp that I have. I added some ribbon and a little heart gem in the bottom corner. Overall I'm quite pleased with how it turned out!

Unfortuantely it's not the easiest kind of card to photograph so sorry about that!

Thanks for looking!

CCT - FOOD

This weeks Cute Card Thursday theme is Food!

So I have used my Banana Frog cupcake stamp with some handmade pink paper for the frosting and a glittery red cherry. I also used paper downloaded from Printable Heaven, embossed some paper & card with my cuttlebug and did a bit of inking here and there along with some fake stiches and a pink brad!

I'm not overly keen on the card but it only took me about 20 minutes and think it fits the bill?!

DCM - Getting Funky with the Funky Hand!!

This week's Daring Card Makers challenge has been very kindly sponsored by Anice, the designer behind the fabulous Funky Hand.

So here's your template, you can use your own papers, or why not download some from Funky Hand to have a play with.

I decided to use the mini boys card kit from Kaboodle Doodle as it's my teenage brothers birthday in the next week so thought this template would be perfect!

Daring Cardmakers - Easy Peasy

I made this card for the midweek challenge from Daring Cardmakers
'make and create something fast and cute in advance so you aren't caught off guard with those last minute birthday cards ever again'

So I did this super quick card! I embossed some white card using my cuttlebug stylised flowers folder, swiped a blue ink pad over, punched 2 scalloped squares and mounted on light blue card, mounted the sentiment on the same blue card and added a couple of blue rhinestuds and light blue ribbon! I know it's quite simple and plain but I was quite pleased with the overall result and thought it looked quite elegant for a 10min job!
If only it took me 10minutes to make all my other cards I'd be sorted!! :O)

Cute Card Thursday - Soft Furnishings

This is my first creation for the Cute Card Thursday challenge!
This weeks challenge was... Soft Furnishings - you can use fabric, ribbon, stitching, buttons etc, anything you can find on the soft furnishings in the home ie curtains, cushions, sofas etc.
I used a pink petticoat image, pp paper & Buzzcraft Paper, some ribbon, a button with some thread and some doodling and faux stitching.
I really need to get me some stamps after seeing everyone else's gorgeous cards!

Daring Cardmakers - It's a Wrap!

This weeks dare is ...

I would like you to give your card a coat made of acetate, vellum or anything for that matter. As long as it ‘wraps’ around the outside of your card, anything goes!

I've used a chipboard flower and a brad both from Dovecraft 'In the Pink' with some silver mesh for the wrap. Underneath the wrap I've used another chipboard shape from 'In the Pink' as well as some handmade paper from my stash, some embossed black card and some embossed & inked white card that I've inked. Sentiment is printed.

TFL!

A bored Saturday Afternoon...

Well after my unsuccessful decorating this afternoon (hubby bought the wrong paint!) I decided to use my time and make a few cards! As you can see I've been putting my cuttlebug embossing folder 'stylised flowers' to good use!!
(For these cards I've used, pink petticoat papers & images, Dovecraft 'In the Pink' papers, Blooms from Poppicrafts & Hobbycraft.)

My First Daring Cardmakers Creation!

I've visited the Daring Card Makers blog regularly but never actually taken part in a 'dare' until now and what better way to use my new Pink Petticoat kit again! Along with some bright pink card embossed with my cuttlebug swiss dots, some ribbon, staples, and of course a touch of glitter!! (black for the melon pips and a bit on the white flowers).
The dare is Scrumdiddlyumptious - food that reminds you of summer and for me it's nothing better than a nice juicy refreshing water melon!!

Hope you like my first Daring Cardmakers Creation!!

Thanks for looking!!

Some more to get me started...

Thought my blog was looking a bit bare so just had to add another card! This one, I sent to a friend I haven't seen in a while, once again, Pink petticoat image and papers, lots of sparkle and a brad from Poppicrafts! Not sure if it looks the best in the way I've photographed it but will have to get practising with the camera!

Thanks for Looking! xx
